My name is Dietmar Hager, I `m married to the most understanding and endearing wife in this world. We have three kids now and live in the city of Linz, Austria.
I`m a trauma- hand- and microsurgeon and I work in the common hospital in the city of Linz.
Born in 1969, I discovered my enthusiasm for Astronomy when I was a boy of 12 years, gazing into the night sky. My father encouraged me to join the Astronomical Society of Linz (LAG) and from the age of 15 I held astronomical lectures there in pubilc.
It was one of the very goals in my life to create an astronomical observatory of my own and by the assistance of one of my very best friends "Albireo" I made this dream come true in April 2005.
The first scopes I used in this observatory was a very good 14" Meade SC optics and a 4" TMB triple Apo, which I purchased at Fernrohrland, on a Gemini 41observatory Mount run with Pulsar guiding system. Since my least favourite telescope type is a triple Apo of "large aperture" I decided to make a change and so I picked the very scope - a 9" TMB Triple APO designed as a folded refractor, which happened to arrive in my obs in march 2006.
the mount which carries this huge scope is "Mountegra" designed by Andras Dan, a very resourceful qualified engineer who owns my ultimate confidence.
Gazing into the stars in a clear night gives me relaxation and is one of my favourite means of recreation. I wish U all a pleasent stay online my website - enjoy a couple of minutes being away from Your everyday life and - come on - let`s gaze into the night skies...
regards, Stargazer
