This year's festival is widely dedicated to scientific knowledge about the origin of the cosmos. Locations of the Festival are spread over many popular places, structures and cultural buildings in Linz,

the main focus is on CERN scientists and knowledge they have gathered throughout decades. Certainly the brand new LHC will be introduced in many fascinating ways:

The general idea, design and technical inventions and accomplishments enabling the LHC, as well as expectations and first results of the item, and intruiging discussions are scheduled.

But when it comes to think about the origin of Cosmos, astronomy is a strong partner in this field. So, the Ars Electronica Center is very proud on having

NASA scientist Jerry T. Bonnell

on board of the festival as one of the special high-lights! Also scientific content of ESO will be brought to the visitors attention.
